Often it is hard to give up something you work on. It is to me is like creating a child, and watching it go out on their own. I have been a lover of Sea Gulls all my life … even in Northern Alberta. They are so clean looking and graceful. When I painted this picture all of my kids said “That’s so you, Mom.”
 
These two Gulls were sitting on pylons in the waters just before Mill Bay, B.C.  One of the Gulls is standing on one leg only so there was a lot of research that went into finding out “why”.  He is actually warming his other foot that is barely visible.  A Fine Balance.
