There are numerous beautiful parks along our Vancouver Island 
Coastline, one being Neck Point in Nanaimo. Most have rocky 
outcroppings sculpted by the tidal waters and storms. This painting 
represents one large outcropping from the Neck Point Park so
I named it “carving with Stone”. Early morning sunlight adds the
lovely colors to the wet rock. A natural sculpture. It is all done in 
palette knife with the exception of the gull sitting on top.
