On one excursion into the Cedar area of Nanaimo, we stopped at The Crow and Gate pub that is surrounded by gardens and ponds. One little pond was full of lily pads in bloom, but it is always a challenge to get close enough to photograph the lilies.  We managed to get lots of good photos but only on expanding the pictures did I realize we had “Frogs” as well. To find the frogs there was a real treat as they were so well camouflaged in among the lily pads one could not see them with the naked eye.  I was almost half done the painting before I found the second of the two frogs.  It became a game of finding the frogs in the painting.
